<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer provided with a pixel value correcting function and a pixel value correction and printing method, that can simply and speedily generate extended image data whose pixel value is corrected from compressed image data. SOLUTION: The printer 1 provided with the pixel value correcting function, which fetches the compressed image data (encoded data 350) given DCT processing and printing a image concerning the image data, has a DC component changing means 141 for changing the value of only DC components concerning the data 350, an inverse DCT means 142 for applying inverse DCT processing to the image data whose DC components are changed and obtaining the extended image data (8×8 pixel block 380) and a printing data generation means for generating printing data from the extended image data.</p> |
