PURPOSE: A field emission display device is provided to increase the screen size of a display device and an emission current by forming a multi-layered emitting layer as dispersing a conductive fine particles. CONSTITUTION: An electron supplied from a lower electrode is dispersed through a conductive layer(3) and an emitting layer(4). The dispersed electron is accelerated and emitted into vacuum through an upper electrode. The emitted electron is accelerated by a voltage applied to an anode, thereby exciting a fluorescent material. The emitting layer(4) is provided with a conductive particle(10) surrounded by an insulator(20) with a discontinuity. The conductive particle(10) and the insulator(20) are layered in the form of a multi-layer.
