ELECTRONIC MAIL SIGNATURE VIRUS CHECK SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate unnecessary time spent to make a virus check even on a file which is evidently not infected with a virus and to prevent an elec tronic mail sender from being a supplier of a file contaminated with a virus by making the virus check in the timing of reading electronic mail by an elec tronic mail recipient, i.e., in real time. SOLUTION: A computer of the electronic mail recipient oneself performs the virus check only on a file put in a storage device of the computer from outside. When the electronic mail recipient receives electronic mail with an attached file, a vaccine calling means is actuated automatically or by the operation of the electronic mail recipient and then vaccine software that a signer has or vaccine software that the electronic mail recipient has is actuated to take countermeasures if the attached file is infected with a virus.
