PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an operation feeling when a panel is supported so as not to be moved when set in an operational state with a normally used surface set as a front, and a group of switches on the panel are operated. SOLUTION: The electronic device is provided with a first panel 12 rotated to selectively display a front surface or a backside, and a second panel 14 installed to freely move between a position side by side with the first panel and a inner position set inside a device main body 10. A panel braking means is provided to press an elastic pressing member 88 fixed on the second panel 14 into contact with the first panel so as not to be moved easily, when the second panel 14 is moved from the inner position of the device main body 10 to the position side by side with the first panel 12 directed to the front surface. Thus, unstable movements such as the shaking of the panel are prevented when a user depresses an operation switch on the panel, and a use feeling is improved for the user.
