PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator excellent in mechanical strength and electric characteristics for one consisting of graphite powder molded body obtained through pressure molding of graphite powder blended with resin. SOLUTION: A reinforcing plate 17 with a number of through-holes 17a formed is provided, graphite powder molding layers 16c, 16d of both front and rear faces of which, are integrally molded through a middle layer 16e filling each through-hole 17a. With this, contact resistance as would be generated in interfaces of heterogeneous materials is not generated in forming regions of the middle layer 16e, which improves conductivity over the both front and rear faces. As a result, a separator is formed with excellent mechanical strength and overall electric characteristics. |
