DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INPUTTING HANDWRITTEN DATA, PERSONAL CERTIFICATION DEVICE AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for inputting handwritten data such as a signature without using an electronic tablet. SOLUTION: In a step S2-1, a user moves a pen device 30 in the air to sign his (or her) name. In a step S2-1, a camera means 20 photographs the pen device 30 and outputs its picture data. In a step S2-3, a coordinate calculation means 22 obtains the coordinates of a pen tip of the pen device 30 on a picture on the basis of the picture data (moving picture data) to obtain signature data. In a step S2-4, a comparing/collating means 40 compares/collates the signature data with reference data, and when both the data are approximate, outputs a certification result indicating 'the user himself (or herself)'. Thus personal certification can be executed on the basis of the signature data written in the air by the user.
