PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display having a new back light assembly structure is provided to improve uniformity of luminance and to reduce the thickness of a back light assembly. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a back light assembly(200), a liquid crystal display panel(100), and a mold frame(300). The back light assembly includes a light source(210) for generating lights, a reflection plate(220), and a diffusion plate(230). The reflection plate is located under the light source and has a light dispersion pattern(224). The reflection plate reflects lights radiated from the back side of the light source to the front side. The diffusion plate is placed above the light source and diffuses lights emitted from the light source. The liquid crystal display panel is located on the back light assembly. The mold frame accommodates the back light assembly and the liquid crystal display panel. |
