METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ELECTRODE FOIL FOR ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR AND ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrode foil for electrolytic capacitors which forms compact and high-density etching pits into the surface of an aluminum foil to increase the surface area and improve the capacitance and the leakage current characteristics. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method comprises a step of etching an aluminum foil, a step of anodic-oxidating the surface of the aluminum foil to form a dielectric oxide film layer, and a step of compressing the aluminum foil with the formed dielectric oxide film layer in the thickness direction, thereby obtaining an electrode foil for electrolytic capacitors which is greatly improved about the capacitance, the leakage current characteristics and high frequency range characteristics.
