PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive device which can prevent leak magnetic flux from a linear motor from exerting adverse influence on the writing of data to a magnetooptic disk even if a magnetic head and an optical head are driven by the single linear motor. SOLUTION: This disk drive device has the single linear motor 50, which is positioned and directed about the magnetic head 62 placed in leak magnetic flux J2 produced from the fixation part 51 of the linear motor 50 so that the magnetic flux density of a component of leak magnetic flux J2 in a magnetic field application direction nearby the magnetic head 62 exerts no influence on the recording of data by the magnetic head 62.
