摘要 PURPOSE: An electron gun for a color cathode ray tube is provided to reduce the distortion of an electron beam due to the non-uniform magnetic field of a deflection yoke by changing the shape of an electron beam through hole of control and screen electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A cathode(31) comprises an electron emission unit(31a) on which an electron emission material is infiltrated or coated, and a heater(31b) for heating the electron emission unit(31a). The electron emission unit(31a) is supported by a base metal. A control electrode(32) adjacent to the cathode(31) is provided with a first electron beam through hole(100) on a corresponding place of the cathode(31). The first electron beam through hole(100) is comprised of a first lead-in unit(101) and a first electron beam through hole part(102) formed on the first lead-in unit(101). A screen electrode(33) is provided with a second electron beam through hole(110) on the same axial to the cathode(31) and an electron beam through hole.
