PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device capable of executing multi-functional processing corresponding to the purpose with a single device. SOLUTION: In this IC card terminal device for handling an IC card used for providing various services, the functions held by an inserted IC card are read out from the IC card and displayed on a screen. A card owner selects a function desired to be executed from the displayed functions. The IC card terminal device determines whether the selected function is held by itself and is executable or not. If executable, the function is executed instantly. If the selected function is not held by itself, the terminal device reads out function information (related information) described in the IC card, connects itself to a host device of a service provider based on the information, down-loads the necessary function, and then executes processing of the down-loaded function. |
