<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which minimizes light leak phenomenon and realizes stable image quality. SOLUTION: A test pad is separated from gate lines and is linked to a common voltage pattern or an electrically conductive pattern, to which a common voltage is applied, is used for light shielding to minimize light leak phenomenon and to obtain stable image quality of a liquid crystal display device. A display region, in which a plurality of pixel regions is arranged on a substrate, is defined in the device. The regions include gate lines, data lines which cross the gate lines, thin film transistors which are electrically connected to the gate lines and the data lines, pixel electrode lines which are electrically connected to the transistors and common electrode lines formed between the pixel electrode lines. The common voltage pattern commonly connects the common electrode lines in the pixel regions. The test pad, which is connected to the common voltage pattern and is separated from the gate lines, is formed outside the display region.</p> |
