PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively manufactured handset in which a modular block can be formed by using a punching die and the modular jack of a commercial standard article can be used and whose assembly property is good. SOLUTION: The handset 10 is provided with a cover case 9, the modular jack 8 which is slantingly installed with respect to a transmission face 1t in a base case 1 and has installed ribs that are extensively arranged on both faces in a vertical direction and the modular block 2. The modular block 2 has base supporting ribs supporting the base of the modular jack 8 and rib supporting faces sandwiching the front and back faces of the installed ribs of the modular jack 8 and supporting them in the vertical direction. A side part supporting rib supporting face supporting the front face of the installed rib of the modular jack 8 is formed by a lower part-removed die. Consequently, the modular block 2 is formed by using an upper/lower part-removed die.
