PURPOSE: A method for driving a 2-dot inversion system liquid crystal display panel and an apparatus thereof are provided, which minimizes a flicker noise in a horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION: According to the method, pixel cells on a liquid crystal panel are precharged in sequence according to gate lines, and then the above pixel cells charges a data signal according to the gate lines after the precharge. The above precharge step is performed when a pixel cell on a gate line charges the data signal. And the precharge step is performed for the same period as the data signal charging step. And a gate signal with an opposite polarity is supplied to source lines on the liquid crystal panel at every two gate line. The above gate signal has a width of 2 horizontal synchronous period and is overlapped for 1 horizontal synchronous period.
