PURPOSE: A burner having a detachable heat accumulating member is provided to remarkably increase the thermal efficiency with reducing the fuel cost by detachably installing a heat accumulating member to a burner body. CONSTITUTION: A burner(10) includes a burner body(50), a burner tail(70), a heat accumulating member(80) and a 4-way valve device. The burner body(50) has a combustion nozzle(20), an ignition rod(30), and chambers(42,43). The ignition rod(30) is arranged at a center of the combustion nozzle(20) and a fuel gas feeding passage(22) having a fuel inlet and fuel injection hole(22b) is provided in line with the ignition rod(30). An air feeding passage(24) is formed at an outer peripheral portion of the fuel gas feeding passage(22). The chambers(42,43) are formed at an outer portion of the air feeding passage(24). An ignition detecting rod(37) is installed in the air feeding passage(24).
