PURPOSE: A method and system for engine oil circulation is provided to smoothly start up an engine by reducing the load of an oil pump applied to the engine at startup of the engine. CONSTITUTION: A system for engine oil circulation comprises an oil temperature sensor(27) mounted at the bottom of an oil pan to detect the temperature of oil stored in the oil pan, an oil pressure sensor(14) detecting the pressure of oil discharged from an oil pump, an engine operation state detecting part(29) detecting the engine RPM and load, an oil pressure control valve mounted at one side of the oil pump to bypass oil when the pressure of oil supplied from the oil pump is over the fixed pressure, a solenoid valve(28) installed at a bypass pipe to control the withdrawal of oil bypassed from oil pressure control valve to the oil pan, and a control unit(30) controlling the operation of the solenoid valve on the basis of the data input from the sensors and the engine operation state detecting part.
