PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for integrating a hanging indent process function unit and assigning a dialogue ID in an intelligence network service exchange are provided to reduce blocks loaded for an ASP to one to save a memory by integrating an IN(Intelligent Network)-TCAP processor and an AIN(Advance Intelligent Network)-TCAP(Transaction Capabilities Application Part) processor as a TCAP processor and integrally processing a TCAP function, and effectively use a dialogue ID resource by sequentially assigning it according to the order of calling a dialogue ID assigning unit library. CONSTITUTION: An IN controller(211) controls an intelligent network. An IN-ASE(Application Service Element) processor(221) transmits and receive an application service element according to an intelligent network service to be provided to a subscriber and a data of the application service element. An AIN controller(212) controls a next-generation intelligent network. An AIN-INAP(Intelligent Network Application Protocol) processor(222) processes an intelligent network and next-generation intelligent network application protocol. A TCAP processor(230) assigns a specific dialogue ID so as to provide a service according to an application service element or an application protocol from the IN-ASE processor(221) and the AIN-INAP processor(222) and controls a hanging indent processing. An SCCP(Signaling Connection Control Part) processor(240) controls a connection between signaling points by using a protocol of a lower level for a service provided by the IN controller(211) and the AIN controller(212). An MTP(Message Transfer Part) processor(250) controls a physical message exchange.
