PURPOSE: A water pump driving control method is provided to produce the rapid response by turning off an actuator when the water pump is turned on, and reduce the fuel ratio by minimizing the electric load at the driving of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A water pump driving control method comprises the steps of; determining whether the water pump is the driving condition by comparing the temperature information with a reference value; shutting off the power delivered to the water by turning on an actuator if the water pump is not the driving condition; and connecting the power to the water pump by turning off the actuator if the temperature information at respective parts satisfies the driving condition of the water pump as time is elapsed after the starting of the engine.
