DIGITAL-ANALOG CONVERTING APPARATUS AND DATA DRIVE CIRCUIT OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A digital-analog converter and a data drive circuit of a liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to widen an output range using two kinds of DA converters and multiplexers. CONSTITUTION: PDACs(36,40) or an NDAC(38) define one channel. A multiplexer(42) selectively multiplexes an output of PDAC(36 or 40) of one channel, and an output of DAC(38 or 40) of an adjacent channel. PDACs(36,40) or an NDAC(38) have different input voltage ranges and are alternatively arranged in line. A multiplexer(42) shares the output of PDAC(36 or 40) of one channel, and the output of DAC(38 or 40) of an adjacent channel. The multiplexer(42) selectively switches and outputs the output of PDAC(36 or 40) of one channel, and an output of DAC(38 or 40) of an adjacent channel according to an input control signal. Each of the PDACs(36,40) outputs a first range voltage according to input data signals.
