PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermistor which is reduced in resistance and improved in withstand voltage, keeping breaking grooves enough in depth and itself enough in element strength and to restrain the thermistor element from tilting or going out of position, when lead wires are fixed in a process in which the thermistor is modified into a lead type. SOLUTION: A thermistor mother board is divided along breaking grooves into thermistor elements, a recess is provided to at least the one main surface of the thermistor element, an electrode is formed on the opposed surface that contains the recess, and the one end of a lead wire is soldered to the electrode, extending along the inner wall of the recess.
