PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk player device with a simple and compact structure so as to be manufactured at a low cost and into which a disk-shaped recording medium can be slotted in its longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: A guide post 234 is erected at each edge of a pair of arm members 226, 228 each pivotally supported inside the main body of the device. A pair of the guide posts 234 is energized so as to turn from a position where the posts 234 are spaced a distance apart which is larger than the width of a disk to the prescribed position where the posts 234 come close to each other so that the disk cannot pass through an insertion slot. Only when a loading operation mechanism section which loads or unloads the disk inserted through the insertion slot on or from the disk player is loading the disk on the player, a locking means equipped on the loading operation mechanism section locks the arm members 226, 228 forming a pair, and thereby the guide posts 234 forming a pair are spaced apart to keep a state where the disk cannot pass through the insertion slot.
