The invention relates to a cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising at least one photoprotective system capable of filtering UV rays and containing at least one mineral or organic insoluble UV filter having a particle size varying between 5 nm and 5 mu m, characterised by the fact that it also comprises at least one amphiphilic polymer containing at least one monomer having ethylenic unsaturation with a sulphonic group, in free form or partially or totally neutralised, and comprising at least one hydrophobic part. The invention also relates to the application of said compositions for the protection of the skin and hair against the effects of ultraviolet rays.
