The composition comprises a) a polymerisable material comprising, for the most part, a methyl methacrylate constituent and b) dissolved in said polymerisable material or in the methyl methacrylate constituent thereof, at least one AB-, ABC-, ABA-, CBC-block copolymer or an AnBmCp- or (AB)mCp-type star block copolymer, wherein polymer block (A) is mixable or not with the methyl methacrylate monomer, polymer block (B) is not mixable with the methyl methacrylate monomer and with polymer blocks (A) and (C) and at a vitreous transition temperature that is less than or equal to 23 DEG C and polymer block (C) is mixable with the methyl methacrylate monomer. The invention can be used in the production of shock-resistant cast plates, particularly cast sanitary plates.
