摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reduction of light emission efficiency of a light source caused by the heat production of the light source it self, in a liquid crystal display device adopting a direct type backlight unit. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device having a liquid crystal display element having two substrates disposed opposite to each other and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the two substrates, a plurality of light sources disposed on the side opposite to the display surface of the liquid crystal display element and supplying irradiation light with which the liquid crystal display element is irradiated and a reflection member disposed on the side opposite to the liquid crystal display element of the plurality of light sources, the reflection member has at least one opening part in the positions where the plurality of light sources are projected when the plurality of the light sources are projected to the reflection member from the direction orthogonal to the display surface of the liquid crystal display element.
