PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photometric device capable of performing partial photometry or spot photometry to low luminance and more accurately discriminating a back light state, and a camera equipped with the photometric device. SOLUTION: Photometry is performed on a specified area (1) out of the whole of a photometry feasible area. When a difference between the photometric results of a plurality of small areas (2) obtained by subdividing at least one part of the specified area is larger than a specified value, the photometric results of the specified area are corrected based on the photometric results of the small areas so as to decide back light based on the corrected photometric results. |
