SOLUTION: A pattern of a sentence or a part of it to easily appear in the article to be a generating object of the summary sentence for the newspaper article, etc., is stored in a rule table 105, an important phrase is extracted by collating the rule table 105 with the plurality of sentences in the inputted article in a word information extracting part 104 and the summary sentence of a first or a second language is generated by embedding the extracted phrase in a previously prepared first language sentence template 107, second language sentence template 109 in a first language sentence generating part 106, a second language sentence generation part 108.
