PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability at the time of extracting electronic components from the respective component supplying parts of a plurality of arranged component supplying cartridges by a component absorbing head. SOLUTION: A mark 314 on the upper face of a protrusion 128 near the respective component supplying parts of component supplying cartridges is illuminated by a light emitting device 312 from a direction inclined to a normal to the upper face, and image picked up by a CCD camera 310. The position error in the arranging direction of the component supplying cartridges and the position error in the vertical direction of the respective component supplying parts are acquired based on the position deviation of the image of the mark 314 from the center of an image pickup face 316 of the CCD camera 310. The position error in the arranging direction is corrected so that a component absorbing head can be positioned with respect to the component supplying part, and the position error in the vertical direction is corrected so that the component absorbing head can be made to descend to a descent edge position. Therefore, it is possible to satisfactorily prevent the generation of any absorption mistake since the absorbing tube of the component absorbing head comes off the electronic components, or the generation of the damage of either the absorbing tube or the electronic components since they are strongly butted to each other. Thus, it is possible to improve the reliability of the component extracting work. |
