<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-output, wide-band, and low-ripple wide-area ASE light source whose output is stable. SOLUTION: The wide-band ASE light source comprising a light source, a rare-earth doped optical fiber which generates ASE light by receiving the light, a reflecting means which is arranged at one end part of the rare-earth doped optical fiber and reflects part or the whole of the ASE light emitted from the rare-earth doped optical fiber, an optical multiplexer/demultiplexer which is arranged between the other end part of the rare-earth doped optical fiber and the light source and multiplexes and demultiplexes the light and ASE light, and an output terminal provided on the light source side of the optical multiplexer demultiplexer is equipped with an optical isolator of >=60 dB in input-side reflection attenuation quantity on the output terminal side.</p> |
