PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a user take necessary measures by detecting a hidden camera or microphone. SOLUTION: This camera detecting device for detecting a 'camera' which is present where an image of the user can be picked up is equipped with a camera detecting means which is carried indoors or outdoors and used by the user to detect the camera present where the image of the user can be picked up and an alarm output means which outputs an alarm (warming, notice) consisting of e.g. a sound, light, vibration, a character display, an image display, etc., so as to let the user know that the camera is present where the image of the user can be picked up.
