PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying medium capable of carrying a plurality of electrophotographic photoreceptors at a time and keeping the surfaces of the photoreceptors free from waste. SOLUTION: Two electrophotographic photoreceptor gripping members made of a resin expanded by <=45 times are used. Each of the gripping members has a plurality of gripping parts lined up in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of electrophotographic photoreceptors to be gripped and each of the gripping parts comes in contact with an edge part of the corresponding photoreceptors or the peripheral surface of a flange attached to an end of the corresponding photoreceptor at one or more points. Edge parts of a plurality of electrophotographic photoreceptors or flanges attached to ends of the plurality of electrophotographic photoreceptors are held by the two gripping members.
