PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable respective Internet facsimile equipment to know the e-mail address of one another to perform low-cost facsimile communication through the Internet. SOLUTION: A center device 30 is provided with a processing memory 30m for storing an INTFAX list table 30ma including the e-mail addresses of the respective Internet facsimile machines 20 and an INTFAX information table 30mb for machine information including the e-mail addresses and telephone numbers of the respective machines 20 and returns a registration information answer signal including the equipment information included in the information table 30mb on the basis of a registration information request signal from an Internet facsimile machine 20. The Internet facsimile equipment 20 performs facsimile communication with another Internet facsimile equipment 20 through the Internet by utilizing e-mail on the basis of the machine information returned from the center device 30.
