<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an adverse effect caused by the fluctuation in the potentials of pixel switching elements and signal line switching elements during conducting and no conducting states. SOLUTION: An active matrix substrate has a plurality of pixel electrodes A1, A2, etc., pixel switching elements 6 which are connected to the plurality of the pixel electrodes, a plurality of scanning lines g1, g2, etc., which drive the elements 6 and a plurality of signal lines a, b, etc. The signal lines are divided into blocks and the lines are connected to a signal inputting section 1 through signal line switching elements SWa, SWb, etc., and a signal line branching section 7. Signals which control the conducing and no conducting of the elements are given through pieces of control wiring SW1 and SW2 commonly connected to the switching elements. Signals which put the signal line switching elements into a conducting state have a different polarity with respect to the polarity of the signals which put the pixel switching elements in a conducting state.</p> |
