PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element which has long service life and obtains highly efficient luminescence. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence element has a pair of electrodes and an organic luminescence medium layer sandwiched between these electrodes, wherein the organic luminescence medium layer has a mixed layer which contains (A) a kind of hole transport property compound at least and (B) a kind of electron transport property compound at least, and the energy gap Eg1 of the above hole transport nature compound and the Eg2 of the electron transport property compound satisfy the relation Eg1<Eg2. The organic electroluminescence element is characterized by emitting a light, by combining the electron and the hole in the above organic luminescence medium layer. |
