PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the distribution of illegal copy of contents in an electronic distribution system. SOLUTION: This contents distribution control method through a communication network includes a step adding device identification information identifying a device having contents recorded therein and contents indentification information including identification symbols identifying the contents to the contents, a step transmitting the contents to the communication network, a step receiving, at least, parts of the contents including the device identification information and the identification symbols through the communication network, a step extracting the device identification information and the identification symbols, at least, from parts of the received contents, a step determining whether the contents are illegal copies or not based on the extracted device identification information and the identification symbols, and a step stopping the receiving and the regeneration of the contents, when they are determined to be the illegal copies. |
