PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user authentication method which allows an ISP system, etc., to share facilities for connecting terminals of general users and specific users and can shorten the time needed to allocate authentication processing between the general users and specific users. SOLUTION: This method includes stages (S2, S3) for making a line connection between user terminals through a communication line to which a specific user telephone number and a general user telephone number are both assigned and obtaining a telephone number used for calling to the communication line as a termination number and stages (S5, S6) for allocating user authentication to specific user authentication processing on condition that the termination number matches the previously registered specific user telephone number. |
