PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the distortion of a photographed image, by carrying out simple arithmetic processing. SOLUTION: The straight line part of an object is imaged to be a curve, having distortion as shown by Figure on a film, due to the distortion caused by supporting an exposure image to be curved as a measure for the distortion and field curvature caused by a photographic lens. Approximate circles obtained by approximating the curve part with a circumference are set, an approximate circuit C1 centered on an X axis, which passes through coordinates (x and y) and also has a center of curvature on the X axis and an approximate circuit C2 centered on a Y axis, which passes through the coordinates (x, y) and also has a center of curvature on the Y axis are found, an intersection (a) between the circle C1 and the X axis and an intersection (b) between the circuit C2 and the Y axis are derived, and is subjected to image processing that performs coordinates transformation from the coordinates (x and y) into coordinates (a and b). |
