PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of an images, which is caused by variance of position and attachment with respect to a carrying roll type of an ADF(auto document feeder). SOLUTION: A mechanical tool is attached on the basis of a carrying roll of the ADF or a position determined from the carrying roll, this position is turned into data and is stored in a memory, and this data is read out and is read in a prescribed position at the time of reading in the ADF.
