PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the shaking of retracted disks in a disk player which arranges and hold a plurality of disks in the device, selects and plays back a desired disk from the arrayed disks, and retracts other disks other than the selected disk. SOLUTION: The disk player which arranges and holds a plurality of disks having a center hole in a prescribed direction, and selects and plays back the desired disk has a disk holding means to hold the plurality of disks, a disk playback means transported so that it is located outside the existence region of the held disk when the disk is not played back, and at least part is located in the existence region during playback, and a disk selection means to move other disks other than the desired disk in the array direction of the disks, during the playback of the disk. The disk player is provided further with a fitting means to be fit into the center holes of other disks accompanying the movement operation.
