PURPOSE: A sub rate switching device of an exchanger is provided to be selectively connected according to a transmitting speed of a channel in the exchanger, by embodying sub rate switching devices with 32kbps and with 8kbps, through simple connections of a plurality of data memories and control memories. CONSTITUTION: A sub rate switching device of an exchanger embodies a switching device of the exchanger which switches a channel into a time slot unit with 64kbps, in the sub rate switching device which a channel is 32kbps. The sub rate switching device of an exchanger comprises: a MUX(Multiplexer) for outputting 8-bit data after multiplexing data in E1(European level 1); an address generator for generating a 11-bit address; data memory 1,2 for receiving the 8-bit data, for storing the data after receiving the 11-bit address, and for outputting higher, lower channel data with 4 bits; a higher MUX for outputting the higher channel data by receiving the higher, lower channel data; a lower MUX for outputting the lower channel data; a control memory 1 for controlling an input/output operation of the data memory 1 and a multiplexing operation of the higher MUX, after receiving the address from the address generator; a control memory 2 for controlling an input/output operation of the data memory 2 and a multiplexing operation of the lower MUX; and a DEMUX(Demultiplexer) for demultiplexing the higher, lower channel and transmitting the data to the E1. |
