PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera apparatus that prevents incorrect insertion of a connector to an accessory shoe from a reverse direction mechanically so as to avoid occurrence of various electric troubles. SOLUTION: The camera apparatus where a video printer having a connector is electrically and mechanically connected to an accessory shoe provided in a video camera body, is provided with the accessory shoes 7 having a number of parallel contact pin terminals 8, 9 located at the bottom of the shoe and having a projection 11 at a side of the shoe entrance, and with the video printer having the connector 12 provided with brush terminals 13, 14 electrically in contact with the contact pin terminals 8, 9 of the accessory shoe and an incorrect insertion prevention projection 16 at a backside from the brush terminal 13, and when the connector 12 is reversely incorrectly connected to the accessory shoe 7, the incorrect insertion prevention projection 16 strikes on the projection 11 to prevent insertion of the connector 12.
