PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a factor of discrepancy with a specified value in retrieval conditions concerning a retrieval device of things data corresponding to a retrieval request wherein a value about plural key items are specified, intended for a database wherein data constituted by plural items regarding specified things are registered as entries. SOLUTION: Regarding the respective items, references for coincidence determination are arranged in order of priority, and a coincidence determination reference table wherein a coincidence degree calculating method is set for each reference is provided. A ranking retrieving part is further provided. With respect to the input of the retrieval request, in the ranking retrieving part, the coincidence determination is conducted in accordance with the coincidence determination reference table about the item corresponding to each entry of the database about the each item. When coincident with the reference, the coincidence degree with respect to each of the entry is calculated based on the coincidence degree calculating method set for the item. Then, the data of the entry is outputted in order of points.
