PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to apply the same driving voltage to the same lines to improve picture quality of a liquid crystal display panel. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal display panel, a divided-driving switch, and a control line. The liquid crystal display panel is constructed in a manner that a liquid crystal cell is formed at each of the intersection of data lines(33,35) and gate lines(37,39) and a switching element for driving the liquid crystal cell is formed. The divided-driving switch is formed on the liquid crystal display panel and selectively switches the data lines and gate lines to divided-drive the liquid crystal display panel in at least one of vertical and horizontal directions. The control line is formed on the liquid crystal display panel to control the divided-driving switch.
