PURPOSE: An array substrate of a liquid crystal display is provided to easily judge if over-etch is performed or not without using an additional apparatus to reduce the time required for a test process, thereby improving productivity. CONSTITUTION: A gate line(154) is formed on a transparent substrate in the first direction. A data line is formed in the second direction and intersects the gate line to define a pixel region. A thin film transistor is connected to the gate line and the data line. A pixel electrode(164) is overlapped with the pixel region and the data line and connected to the thin film transistor. An insulating layer is formed of an insulating material having low dielectric constant and interposed between the data line and the pixel electrode. An over-etch prevention pattern(E) is placed on the overlapped portion of the pixel electrode and the data line.
