PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to prevent the pixel formed between the first and second gate lines from being abnormally bright by forming a light intensity adjusting layer under the pixel electrode formed between the first and second gate lines. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a plurality of gate lines(11) formed in one direction, and a plurality of data lines(15) intersecting the gate lines, being insulated from the gate lines. The liquid crystal display further includes pixel electrodes that are respectively formed at the intersections of the gate lines and the data lines and display images under the control of corresponding gate lines, and a light intensity adjusting layer(15c) formed under the pixel electrode that is controlled by the second gate lines. The light intensity adjusting layer is recessed into the inside of the pixel electrode and formed of a metal used for forming a storage electrode.
