PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter, capable of independently controlling the output of a voltage regulator and that of an inverter connected at post-stage, connecting function units to each other, and inputting electric power of a plurality of DC power supplying sources having different output characteristics. SOLUTION: This power converter includes a maximum power follow-up control circuit 5, that regulates the voltage of the DC power supply sources by a voltage-regulating means 2, that inputs the output of the voltage-regulating means into an inverter means 7 to convert it into AC power, and that regulates the ratio of the input voltage to the output one, so as to follow the maximum power of the DC power supplying sources of a voltage-regulating means 2, and an output voltage control circuit 6 that controls the output voltage, in such a way that the output voltage does not exceed a given maximum link voltage, prior to the maximum power follow-up control circuit 5. The inverter means 7 controls the input voltage to a given input operating voltage, which is set to a value lower than the maximum link voltage, by an output power control circuit 14. |
