PURPOSE: A method for estimating the states of a channel card processor and an IPC node using a keep alive state and an answer back state is provided to exactly estimate a channel card's processor keep alive state and IPC node state by combining a processor keep alive state with a processor answer back state. CONSTITUTION: If parameters related to a processor keep alive state function and a processor answer back state function are initialized and timers for these functions are activated(S100,S200), a processor keep alive state polling processing part judges whether an ack message for a processor keep alive state message, sent to a channel card(i) through a DPRAM, is received within T seconds(S101). In case that the ack message is received normally(ka_f≠false), the processor keep alive state polling processing part sets ka_f to false and initializes ka_cnt as 0(S102,S103). Then the processor keep alive state polling processing part transmits the processor keep alive state message to the channel card(i) through the DPRAM(S105).
