PURPOSE: A three axis structured machining center is provided to obtain high speedy transferring and to prevent accuracy degradation by driving three axis using linear motor and constituting to be linearly moved directly by the linear motor. CONSTITUTION: A three axis structured machining center comprises a base frame(30), a Y-axis moving block(48,49), a cross frame(50), an X-axis moving body, and a Z-axis moving body(80). The base frame has a table for supporting workpiece at its center portion. The Y-axis moving block is moved linearly by a Y-axis linear motor(44,46) while linearly guided by a Y-axis linear guide(40,42) installed to the base frame. The cross frame is crossed between left to right on the base frame and linearly moved by the Y-axis moving block. The X-axis moving body is moved linearly by an X-axis linear motor(62) while linearly guided by an X-axis linear guide(60) installed to the cross frame. The Z-axis moving body is moved linearly by a Z-axis linear motor(72) while linearly guided by a Z-axis linear guide(70) installed to the X-axis moving body.
