PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate setting of an optical path. SOLUTION: An optical wavelength multiplex network system comprises optical transfer paths 6 and 7 where an optical path is formed, a plurality of nodes. A-H which, connected to the optical transfer path, transmit/receive optical signal each other through the optical path, and a network managing system 9 which, connected to the node through a transfer path 8, manages the optical path formed on the optical transfer path. Here, the network managing system 9 comprises an optical path requiring means which transmits an optical path setting request for allocating and releasing the optical path of the optical transfer path to a node constituting the optical path through the transfer path based on the optical path setting request inputted from outside. The node which receives the optical path setting request comprises an optical path setting means for sequential optical path settings between the nodes constituting the optical path which the optical path setting request designates. |
