PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card management system capable of informing a user of a time for exchanging a card in advance. SOLUTION: The card management system is provided with a magnetic card 2, capable of storing data and a card reader capable of reading and writing data in the card 2. Personal data on a user 1 permitted to use the system are registered in the reader 3 and the data in the card 2 are compared with personal registered data. When conditions are satisfied, its usage is permitted. In this card management system, the reader 3 has a card deterioration determining means 103 for making the card 2 store the number of the accumulative usage times, when it has read the card 2, and informing the user 1 that it is time for exchanging the card, when the number of the accumulative using times exceeds a prescribed regulated value. |
