CABLE STRINGING COIL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable stringing coil twisted lengthwise with its surface bulged in spiral to reduce wind whistling and also with its water repellent protective surface roughened, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A cover layer 3 of an inorganic powder mixture is formed on the outer surface of a metal wire 2, and the coil is twisted to form a twisted wave 6 on the outer surface. A water repellant plastic polymerized protective layer is applied over the cover layer 3. This protective layer material has a low melt viscosity. The surface is made rough using a resin mixed with a high fluidity additive powder and particles, and the twisted bulging is made by extruding using a metal die and a sizing dice.
